What services does the Sacramento County Veterans Services Office do for you?
Our Veterans Claims Representatives are here to assist you and your family secure the benefits earned through your selfless service as a veteran of the US Armed Forces. We provide assistance with:

  • Compensation for service related disabilities
  • Pension for war-time veterans with non-service connected disabilities
  • Aid and Attendance or Housebound benefits
  • Enrollment in VA Health Care for treatment
  • Survivors Benefits
  • California Tuition Fee Waiver Program (CalVet)

Veterans Claims Representatives
A VCR's primary duty is to advocate for the veteran. All of our VCRs hold both National and California Department of Veterans Affairs (CDVA) accreditations. They are highly proficient in explaining benefits programs and eligibility criteria, conducting interviews, identifying issues, gathering evidence, and uploading data to the VA to support the veteran's claim(s).

Federal Benefits Manual for Veterans and Dependents
This pamphlet describes the variety of federal benefits available to veterans and their dependents as of Jan. 1, 2019. Changes may occur during the year as a result of legislative or other requirements. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) World Wide Web pages are updated throughout the year to present the most current information.
